Lil' Dragons Mixed Martial Arts, Ages 4-7 - Our Lil' Dragons classes for ages 4-7 focuses on developing self control, respect for others and a positive attitude while teaching the basic techniques of Mixed Martial Arts through various games. We have a coloured bely grading system based on the child's attendance. Having fun is an important part of this class, with a focus on 'Play as the Way'! Classes are loud and energetic. Kids love it! Standard Lil' Dragons MMA Membership: 1 class per week @ £25/month Premier Lil' Dragons MMA Membership: 2 classes per week @ £35/month • Learn to share • Develop self-esteem • Take turns • Develop speech and language • Promote physical strength • Promote coordination and stamina • Develop a love of learning • Build fundamental motor skills • Increase awareness of body and space • Follow directions • Encourage socializiation • Problem solve • Demonstrate responsibility • Show self-control • Act respectfully And much more.... The curriculum is set up with nine basic life skills and nine basic safety skills. This is designed for a rotating 12 week cycle, this allows each skill to be repeated twice as children tend to learn through repetition. Belts are awarded for ATTENDANCE, ACTIVITY SHEET COMPLETION and SKILLS, though are not to be taken seriously as in this age group FUN is the most important thing! A Lil' Dragon Black Belt is a student who has attended the required number of classes AND completed activity sheets AND gets involved in the physical skills in class. It is NOT a sign of fighting ability at this stage.
Letters will be sent out in advance before we cover some of the safety skills listed above.
